"It was disappointing to concede the goal, it made it even more uncomfortable, but credit to the players, it's another major scalp for us."
"We have to give them credit, even at 2-0 they didn't feel sorry for themselves. They threw everything at us which I knew they would and maybe it was a good time to play them after Europe. But we knew it would be a difficult game, and we're just pleased to get the three points."
"I think we had the better chances throughout. Most of their chances came from set pieces, and with long throw-ins and corners, but in general I was quite pleased with us going forward and defensively we were solid, which you have to be against Bolton. Today we defended doggedly."
"Chimbonda suffered a dead leg, but I thought Ryan Taylor did an excellent game in his place. Hen went in there and competed very well, he was a bonus for us today. Pascal's been brilliant and when he came off there was a little bit of a worry, but Ryan did exceptionally well. "
"It was a high tempo, end-to-end stuff, and two honest teams full of endeavor and committed. It might not have been the most purist game of football you've ever seen nut you can tell form the noise of the stadium, our supporters loved every minute of it. I think people got value for money."

"That put us under enormous pressure in our final third and two mistakes on two occasions lifted Wigan to two goals in front. One goal is hard enough to come back away from home in the Premiership never mind two, and in the end it was too big a mountain to climb even though we created more than enough chances to get at least a draw.
"We failed to hit the target from a number of clear cut chances that fell into the box, which our players should have done better with. We've let ourselves down for the first time this season at both ends and it's cost us dear because we've lost our unbeaten away record in the Premiership.
"We really want to pride ourselves on how well we are and what a good defensive unit we are when we need to be. Today, because we didn't do that, we allowed the opposition to get too far ahead.
"We've slipped up at both ends and hopefully we'll learn from that and do better. We could have dealt with it better on the halfway line before they had got that far. When you make a mistake in the box there's only the goalkeeper who can help you out.
"The finish was good enough for Jussi not to have a chance of saving it. The disappointing thing was we then did a similar thing for the second one off a corner of ours."
