The Addicks had taken the lead in the third minute through former Bolton player Marvin Sordell before Marc Antoine Fortune and Jordi Gomez goals within the last three minutes sealed the three points for Wigan.
Rosler told the club's official website: “I have to admit that I wasn’t 100% convinced that we would find the breakthrough; I thought it was going to be one of those days when we had total domination but couldn’t open the door.
“We had 28 attempts on goal but only seven were on target, which clearly shows the area we need to improve in.
“But I have to pay big compliments to my players, because we chased the game in the right manner and the substitutions in the second half really lifted us and helped us to turn the game around.
“I’m really happy for them because these are the games we need to dig deep in to get something out of it, and they did that."
Next up for the Latics is the trip to Huddersfield next Saturday as Uwe Rosler and the team will try to keep the play off charge on track.
