Following on from an improved performance, the Latics boss was pleased with his players and the point brought back from a tough trip to Carrow Road.
Speaking about the game the Latics boss commented: “You have seen today why we are in the position we are in because we cannot really show that little bit of composure or have that bit of luck in front of goal. We created enough chances to win and grew into the game.
“After giving away the early goal, I felt we were really strong, we kept the ball well, and created numerous chances,” said Martinez. “Moses was his normal self. I just love Victor’s ability. Modern footballers rely on their raw talent and Victor does that. He’s a joy to watch. The clinical composure he had in front of goal shows the potential of a young player.
“Clearly it was a good performance for us, but only one point to show and that is what we have to rectify from now until the end of the season.”
Next up for the Latics is the visit of West Brom to the DW Stadium on Saturday.
