The result has put QPR in place as the bokkies favourites for the tie but Redknapp refused to agree as he told the QPR official website: "The tie is still very even.
"We might have a very slight advantage because we're at home, with our fans behind us, but it's still up in the air.
"They're very dangerous, as they showed at Loftus Road earlier this season, so we're expecting another tough game.
"We've given ourselves a decent chance though by getting a good result here tonight.”
QPR were very defensive in the opening game and that will no doubt change for the second leg at Loftus Road on Monday evening.
