The Latics earned two crediable draws against Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers which should hopefully serve as a good platform to move forward from after a poor start to the season.
Goals from captain James Perch and recalled forward Marc Antoine-Fortune earned the Latics a point against a Wolves team who have made an excellent start to the season.
“We had a game plan set out for how we wanted to address the way they play and, off the ball, at times, I thought we were excellent,” Rosler explained to the Wigan Athletic official website.
“When we had the ball, we didn’t play as good as we can or with the freedom we can play with and I don’t know why that is, perhaps it’s still a confidence issue or whether it’s because we focus too much on how we win the ball.
“With the excellent players we have, there should, at times, be a little bit more composure but overall I felt the players continued from last Tuesday with the effort, the determination, the discipline and the desire to win.
“There were a lot of things that were good; we followed the game plan hard and put a lot in to that but when we win the ball, that’s when football really starts.
“I think we have to address that and play with more freedom but overall a fair point for both teams.”
The Latics now have a week off before Rosler's former club Brentofrd visit the DW Stadium on teh 18th October.
