The Latics goalkeeper is optimistic heading into the final seven games of the seaon that the team can collect enough points to ensure survival.
The Oman international told the Wigan Observer this week: "We have been playing well for several weeks now and it's great that we are finally getting the results that we deserve.
"That makes it six points from the last two games and it gives us a great platform ahead othe next three games, which we all know will be tough.
"Two of the games are away and the home game is only against Manchester United! But that's what the Premier League is all about, and we have to rise to the occasion - which we are more than capable of doing."
Al-Habsi is likely to be required to play a big part over the course of the next three games so it is inspiring to hear him talking so poisitively.
