Titus Bramble however is hoping that the Austrian defender remains with the club.
He said: "Scharner obviously is a great player so we are going to try our best to keep hold of him because we want to prove that we are not a selling club and we want to build for the future.
"So fingers crossed the manager talks to him and can persuade him to stay"
