The 29 year old defender has been in inspired form so far this season and is now one of the first names on the team sheet less than one year after arriving on a free transfer.
Given the precarious position of the Latics in the league this season, the Ivorian defender is under no illusions as to the importance of the game against Wolves.
Speaking to the Wigan Evening Post, Gohouri said: “It’s such a big game against Wolves. And we have to win. That’s it. We just have to win, and it doesn’t matter how we go about it – but we must win.
“I really don’t care how bad we play as long as we get the three points, because that it the most important thing for us in the position we are in.
“We know we’re in the bottom three but, against a team like Wolves who are competing with us in the league, we have to pick up points. We have to.
“I know we have Arsenal up next, but all we are thinking about is Wolves – which is the biggest game of the season so far for us.”
