The Clarets could seal automatic promotion to the top flight with a good result against the Latics and they will be keen to achieve that in front of their home support.
However speaking to the Wigan Evening Post, in form Jordi Gomez has admitted the Latics will travel to Burnley with no fear and a confidence to get three points.
"Burnley are a very good side and have been up near the top of the table for much of the year," said Gomez. "They are nearly in the Premier League, but we will go there to try and get the three points.
"In the second half of th season we have been getting results against pretty much everybody, and we will go there without fear.
"If we can keep going at the level we are we are a match for anyone, and we can make it back to the Premier League."
Gomez was pleased with the result against fellow play off hopefulls Reading on good Friday which has left the Latics in pole position for end of season run in.
The Spaniard added: "It was a big three points for us on Friday, especially with the other results going our way as well.
"It leaves usin a very good positon to finish in the top six, which is where we want to be at the end of the season. We played well against Arsenal at Wembley and we wanted to continue in that form.
"We managed to do that, we scored three goals and we could have scored a few more. It was probably one of the best performances of the season, but we need to keep this standard up for the last four matches - starting with Burnley."
Tickets for the game with Burnley at Turf Moor are available as pay on the gate should any fans without a ticket still wish to travel.
