A few clubs have been linked with the former Colchester United forward recently, including the Latics.
Lua Lua is a a player very similar in style to the Duke. Quick, skillful and more than a handful for defences.
He has been linked with a £2 million pound move to a host of Premiership clubs.
Steve Stone
The 33 year old midfielder would have added great experience and drive to a department that is severely lacking in numbers. However it seems he is now joining Leeds United after turning down Southampton.
Craig Bellamy
Another perhaps crazy link. At the moment the striker cannot find a club willing to pay his huge wages (£50,000 a week) and may be loaned out again.
Lee Bowyer
The 28 year old midfielder has not been without controversy throughtout his career to date and the former Hammers star is looking for a club to resurrect his career after turning down Birmingham City.
Bowyer's move from Newcastle to Birmingham collapsed following protests by Blues fans.
Benni McCarthy
The FC Porto striker is unhappy in Portugal after falling out with the clubs management and is desperate for another shot at the Premiership.
"In South Africa, when I was a child, I only watched English football. It is an obsession that I have," he said.
Olivier Dacourt
The former Leeds midfielder is available from Serie A club Roma. He would be a more than able replacement for Jason Jarrett and the Latics are rumoured to be monitoring the situation.
"It is clearly possible Olivier could return to the Premiership. He already has extensive experience of England and likes how the game is played here." commented his agent, Peter Harrison.

Now 28, and unhappy at the Valley after playing just seven games last season, Euell is seeking a move elsewhere and has been linked with Portsmouth.
Agent Tony Finnigan said: "From what Jason has said, he would like pastures new - players want to play."
Belozoglu Emre
It seems as though Jewell could lose out to Newcastle on a second player in just under two weeks. Emre is set to make a decision on his future tomorrow. He has a choice between Newcastle, Everton, and an un-named Premiership club, believed to be the Latics.
Emre's agent Ahmet Bulut said: "I think there will be news on Wednesday.
"There are three clubs and two of them are talking with Inter Milan. Newcastle and Everton are two of the clubs, but I cannot name the other."
Steve Marlet
The 31 year old Fulham striker has just completed his two year loan deal at Marseille and is keen to find another club.
"Both Ligue 1 and the Premier League interest me but I'd rather continue in England," said Marlet.
Kenny Miller
The Scottish international striker has been the subject of a number of bids from Sunderland recently but his club are holding out for the full £2 million.
No doubt Latics Paul Jewell will be in the market for a striker after missing out on Heidar Helguson.
Wolves' cheif executive Jez Moxey said: "His 20 goals for us next season, and what they could mean to us in terms of promotion, are more valuable than the money Sunderland are offering."
Fredi Kanoute
The 27-year-old Mali striker is rumoured to be targeted by Paul Jewell after scoring nine goals in 41 appearances for Spurs last season.
Tottenham have already rejected a £4.5 million bid from West Brom for the forward.
Danny Gabbidon and James Collins
The Latics have been linked with a move for both the Bluebirds defenders as Jewell looks to strengthen his defence. A centre back and right back are believed to be high on Jewell's shopping list and he feels Gabbidon and Collins are ready for the step up.
Damien Francis and Dean Ashton
After losing Jason Jarrett to the Worthington, Paul Jewell may be tempted to raid the Canaries and take their best players.
Francis would be viewed as a straight swap for Jarrett but would be likely to cost £2 million.
Ashton meanwhile could cost upto £5 million but would be the crown of summer signings for the Latics.
"I haven't heard anything and I've managed to keep my head down and not seen too much transfer speculation," said Ashton.
Luis Figo
And perhaps the craziest of all is Luis Figo of Real Madrid. Not only is the Portuguese international on £90,000 (a figure that is nearly five times that of the top earner at the JJB), but he is wanted by a host of top European clubs.
