Gomez is one of a quintet of players out of contract with Gary Caldwell, Mike Pollitt, Stephen Crainey, and Jean Beausejour also seeking new deals.
Rosler has revealed that new deals have been offered to all five, ah he is awaiting their decisions before continung with the recruitment drive.
Speaking about Gomez in particular Rosler told the Wigan Evening Post: “Jordi is one of those we have offered a new contract.
“He is evaluating his options at the moment, and we are still in regular conversations.
“At the same time we are also pushing to present a number of new names into the frame. We are obviously looking at some areas of squad more than others.
“That includes the centre-forward position, and we are meeting agents and players all the time.
“It’s very early days in the transfer window, we are still in the preparation stage, but it will be getting busier as we move forward.”
Gomez is believed to be attracting lots of attention from across the contintent with German club FC Schalke believed to be interested in the former Barcelona youth.
