Mahon bid rejected

Mahon has failed to secure a birth in the first team so far this season and has been in and out of the team. He did make the bench at the weekend for the visit of Bolton.

Paul Jewell however is keen to keep his squad together and he knows that the depth will be required over the tough winter months.

He said: "Everyone has a part to play in the squad, and as far as I am concerned nobody will be leaving us at any point in the near future."
