The Latics boss was speaking after Moses grabbed the winner against Spanosh side Villarreal at the DW Stadium this weekend. He told the Wigan Evening Post: “Victor was lively throughout the game, and he was a real threat."
Martinez was also pleased with the play of striker Franco Di Santo who deputised for Hugo Rodallega who has only recently returned from the Copa America.
Martinez added: “His link-up play with Franco was pretty good in the first half, and Franco showed great generosity in playing him in for the goal.
“But I felt the clean sheet was probably an even bigger achievement than the goal, because Villarreal know how to hurt a team and they were dangerous for the full 90 minutes."
Norwich City are the opponents for the Latics this weekend as the Premier League season reaches the big kick off.
