The news will not come as a surprise to most Latics fans as all four players have largely been left on the sidelines for the final few months of the season.
Speaking about the situation to the Wigan Evening Post, Martinez said: "There are four players out of contract and I expect them all to go – Hugo Rodallega, Momo Diame, Chris Kirkland and Steve Gohouri."
The news regarding Gohouri and Kirkland is largely expected as both players have found first team opportunities difficult to come by and Martinez is under continuing pressure to reduce the wage bill.
With regards to both Diame and Rodallega, both players feel that now is the time to move on after successful periods with the club.
Both are set to leave on free transfer bosman-style transfers with Stoke City the expected destination for Diame and Rodallega also set for a move within English football.
Speaking about the departure of Rodallega, Martinez added: “I can’t praise him enough. He’s been very unselfish in terms of his attitude. And I think everyone will look at the time he had at the club as a real success.”
Martinez has given ooprtunities to those players whose immediate and longer terms futures and commitments are with the Latics. Not only has the club managed to avoid relegation with this policy, but also unnearth some very talented players in the process.
