The nigerian international striker was feared to have fractured a bone in his face following Martin Skrtel's boot to the face in the penalty incident mid-way through the first half.
However X-rays' have since shown that Moses has not suffered a fracture and faces a race to be fit for Saturday's game with Stoke City.
Speaking about the injury to the club's official website, Roberto Martinez said: "We got him checked out straight away in the hospital because there was the potential for a fractured bone in his face.
"The results came back really positive and there was no fracture which allows us to treat him. We will see within the next few days whether he is available for selection on Saturday."
Both Hugo Rodallega and Momo Diame are training on their own following sundry injuries as Martinez keeps the core of his committed players together.
"Both players are training individually and we need to see how they respond to treatment over the next few days," he added.
