Thomas Kuszczak
The former West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper is having a tough time of things at Old Trafford, particularly given the recent arrival of Anders Lindgaard.
Kuszczak is now being linked with a move away from United, and given the 'silly money' that Bolton are said to be asking for Ali Al-Habsi, Martinez appears to have turned his attention elsewhere.
Pablo Osvaldo
Not exactly a household name in Wigan, but Osvaldo has certainly been making waves over in Spain. The former Italian under 21 international forward is available in January as Espanyol look to balance the books.
Espanyol sporting director Ramon Planes said: "Osvaldo's performance has not gone unnoticed and we know that it is followed closely by clubs in the Premier League and Italy. "The agent of Osvaldo is aware he is being watched, but as we said there has been no concrete offer. Nobody has come with a financial offer to us. He is very happy here. He is young and has found the confidence needed." For a little more on Osvaldo, see his Wikipedia page (click here). Jay Emmauel-Thomas Perhaps a signing from the creative school of Roberto Martinez thinking. The 19 year old forward has been linked with a loan move to the DW Stadium as Martinez seeks to fill the gaps left by injuries. At 6"3', Thomas would add physical presence to the Latics forward line, as well as the expected talent of an Arsenal academy player. He has represented England at both under 17, and under 19 levels and can play up front or on either wing. For a little more of JET, see his Wikipedia page (click here).
